360 — some love it, some hate it.
Today, we’re putting it to the test: install “360 Security Guard” on a PC, apply basic configuration, then uninstall it using four different methods. Let’s see how 360 fares against the heavyweights!
This test uses the ultra-fast file search tool “Everything” to scan for remaining files and folders before and after uninstalling 360.
0. Installing 360 Security Guard
After installing 360 Security Guard and applying some basic configuration:

1. Using the Native Uninstall Method
Uninstall “360 Security Guard” directly from Windows 10’s “Settings” and run the official 360 uninstaller.
After uninstalling and rebooting:

Then, using Everything to search globally and attempting to manually delete all 360-related files:

These require TrustedInstaller permissions to delete — a virtual account. Regular users cannot delete them without entering PE mode, so they are left untouched for this test.
No residual 360 processes found in Task Manager.

(Manual deletion cannot clean the registry.)
2. Using Revo Uninstaller Pro to Install and Uninstall 360
Revo Uninstaller Pro’s “Tracker Mode” monitors the installer’s behavior in real-time during installation, logging all file writes and registry changes to a log file.
When uninstalling, Revo Uninstaller Pro reads this log file to thoroughly remove residual files and registry entries left by the tracked software.
First, install 360 using Revo Uninstaller Pro’s “Tracker Mode.”
Apply the same basic configuration as before, then uninstall 360 Security Guard using Revo Uninstaller Pro’s “Tracked Program” mode.
After uninstalling and rebooting:

This tool also cleaned 360’s registry entries (50 major items). Since manual uninstallation cannot precisely delete 360’s registry entries, we won’t compare the difference here.
3. Using Revo Uninstaller Pro to Directly Uninstall 360
This method does not use Revo Uninstaller Pro’s Tracker Mode. Instead, it directly uninstalls 360 using Revo Uninstaller Pro, followed by an automatic scan for residual files.
After uninstalling and rebooting:

333 files, 36 folders
Post-cleanup report: 50 registry entries cleaned, 14 folders deleted, 58 files deleted, approximately 36 MB of disk space reclaimed.
4. Using Geek.exe to Uninstall 360 Security Guard
Geek is a free tool with powerful residual file scanning capabilities. After running the 360 uninstaller within Geek, the tool automatically scans for leftover files.
After uninstalling and rebooting:

326 files, 38 folders
Software report: 50 registry entries cleaned.
From this, Geek slightly outperforms Revo Uninstaller Pro in direct uninstallation residual cleanup — but it’s a narrow victory.
Summary:
Revo Uninstaller Pro excels at tracking software installation and uninstallation, and its capabilities extend far beyond that.
Geek.exe is an excellent, lightweight tool focused on uninstallation and residual cleanup.
