What to do if the computer has no network card driver
What to Do If Your Computer Has No Network Card Driver
After reinstalling the operating system, you may encounter a situation where the new system lacks the appropriate network card driver, leaving your computer unable to connect to the internet. In this case, you can try connecting via an Ethernet cable or using your phone to share its network connection.
How to Share Your Phone’s Network
The essence of sharing your phone’s network is using a personal hotspot. Therefore, if your phone can connect to a stable Wi-Fi signal, it is highly recommended that you turn on the personal hotspot while connected to Wi-Fi. In this case, your phone will share the Wi-Fi it is connected to. If your phone is not connected to Wi-Fi, the personal hotspot will share your mobile data instead.
Sharing mobile data may incur additional charges! Please consider this carefully!
Connect your phone and computer using a charging cable. On the pop-up screen on your phone, tap “Transfer Files.”
Open the personal hotspot settings on your phone.
Please note that different phones may have different settings interfaces, but the general process is similar.
Tap “More Connections” → “USB Tethering” and enable this feature.
Your computer should now be able to connect to the internet.
Once your computer is online, immediately go to your laptop manufacturer’s official website to download the corresponding network card driver for your model, or install the official computer management software provided by the manufacturer to scan for hardware.
After installing the network card driver, you can safely disconnect your phone.
